Spiti Valley Bike Tour Details - Route 1
Shimla - Spiti - Shimla Itinerary - (April - May) 2022
Day 1: Shimla – Kalpa (210 KM)

Shimla - Spiti - Manali - Shimla Itinerary - (June, July, Aug & Sep) 2022
Day 2: Chitkul – Kalpa (60 KM)
Day 3: Kalpa – Tabo (160 KM)
Day 4: Tabo – Dhankar – Pin Valley – Kaza (70 KM)
Day 5: Kaza – Local Sightseeing
Day 6: Kaza – Chandertal Lake (50 KM)
Day 7: Chandertal Lake – Manali (150 KM)
Day 8: Manali – Shimla (280 KM)
Day 1:- Shimla – Chitkul (240 KM) –
Distance 240 Km.
Early in the morning, start for Kinnaur valley and head towards Sangla and further to Chitkul. By evening reach Chitkul, upon arrival check in to the hotel.
Day 2:- Chitkul – Kalpa (60 KM) –
After a relaxed breakfast in the morning, head out towards Sangla valley. We will ride on the same route that we took yesterday to reach Chitkul. Start out by riding towards Reckong Peo, the headquarter of Kinnaur. Another couple hours of riding will make you reach Kalpa, a beautiful place overlooking the Kinner Kailash Mountain. You will find the famous apple orchards here in Kinnaur.
Don’t forget to take a photograph with a signboard saying – ‘Hindustan ka Akhiri Dhabha’.
Day 3:- Kalpa – Tabo (160 KM) –
Early in the morning, you will start heading towards Tabo. Today’s ride is going to be full of adventure as you will be riding on one of the most scenic routes in the entire state of Himachal Pradesh. On the way we will stop and Nako Village(3662m). Nako lies on the edge of the Kinnaur district but character wise it is similar to Spiti valley. In the center of Nako village there is a sacred lake. After exploring Nako we will head off to the Tabo. Enroute we will take detour to Geu village which holds the mummified body of a monk. Evening we will arrive at Tabo (3280m).
Day 4:- Tabo – Dhankar – Pin Valley – Kaza (70 KM) –
After breakfast at Tabo we drive to Dhankar , Mudh village, the last village in Pin valley. Pin valley is the least explored valley in Spiti region of Himachal Pradesh. Explore Mikkim and Sangnam village. Visit the Kungri Monastery and then the beautiful hamlet of Mudh – the last motorable village of the Pin Valley.
Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 5:- Kaza – Local Sightseeing –
The highest village in Asia, Komik, which literally translates to ‘eye of a snowcock’, is situated at a height of 4513 meters. Later, we drive to Hikkim where we visit the world’s highest post office in the world. After sending out a postcard, we drive to Langza. Once you are here, you can walk around the village and visit the ancient Lang (Temple) which is estimated to be around 1000 years old. Visit to Key monastery. Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 6:- Kaza – Chandertal Lake (50 KM) –
Drive to one of the most photogenic places in Spiti Valley – the Chandratal Lake. Before that, we pass through the high altitude pass of Kunzum La. Stop by at the stupa and pay tribute to the local goddess, “Kuzum Mata” as she’s known. At 15,000 feet above sea-level, the Kunzum Pass connects Kullu and Lahaul to the Spiti Valley. Live your dream of camping comfortably in the Himalayas as you spend your evening gazing at the Milky Way and the millions of stars on a clear night. Overnight at a camp Chandratal Lake.
Day 7:- Chandertal Lake – Manali (150 KM) –
Drive from Chandratal Lake towards Manali. Drive through the engineering marvel i.e. Atal tunnel and drive to Manali to end our breath-taking Spiti Valley sojourn. Overnight at a hotel in Manali.
Day 8:- Manali – Shimla (280 KM ) –
After breakfast, enjoy some brilliant views of the Himalayas from your hotel in Manali. Proceed to Shimla after breakfast. Drop at Shimla in the night. The Spiti circuit tour ends here.

Things To Carry for Spiti Valley Bike Trip
- Photo ID issued by central/state government
- Heavy warm jacket
- Woolen Cap/ beanie, loads of socks
- Shoes with good soles / Extra Shoes
- Slippers preferably which is wearable with socks.
- Carry your camera (with extra batteries)
- Carry gloves
- Carry lots of sunscreen, lip balm, moisturizers, sunglasses
- Please carry sufficient cash for the trip (at least Rs 8000 PP) because there are no atms in Spiti, except in Kaza. And in Kaza also, half the times the ATMs dont have money.
- Girls, we would recommend you carry sanitary pads/tampons considering how many women have irregular period cycles during travel.
- Wear layers. It’s always better than wearing one thick jacket. Please make sure you get a couple of thermals (both lower and upper).

- The customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.
- The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
- If cancellation are made 15 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
- If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
- 100.0% of total tour cost will have to be paid 0 days before the date of booking
