Shimla – Spiti – Manali – Shimla Itinerary – (May, June, July, Aug & Sep) 2024
Begin your journey to the Kinnaur valley in the early morning, making stops in Sangla and Chitkul. Upon arrival in Chitkul, check into your hotel for the evening.

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Kalpa, known for its breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, make a stop in Reckong Peo, where, with good weather, you may catch a glimpse of the Kinner Kailash Peak. Once you reach Kalpa, take some time to relax before visiting the ancient Kalpa Monastery and the Suicide Point, which offers a stunning view of the Kailash ranges. After checking in, enjoy dinner and spend the night in Kalpa.

Start your day early as you head towards Tabo. Today’s journey will be full of adventure as you will be traversing one of the most picturesque routes in Himachal Pradesh. Along the way, make a stop in Nako Village, located at 3662 meters. Nako has a similar culture to the neighboring Spiti valley and features a sacred lake in the center of the village. After exploring Nako, continue on to Tabo. On the way, take a detour to visit Geu village, home to a mummified body of a monk. Arrive in Tabo in the evening, at an altitude of 3280 meters.
Following breakfast in Tabo, drive to Dhankar and the village of Mudh. Located in the Pin valley, the least explored valley of Spiti region in Himachal Pradesh. Take a tour of Mikkim and Sangnam village, visit Kungri Monastery, and admire the picturesque hamlet of Mudh, which is the last motorable village in Pin Valley. After exploring the Pin Valley, drive towards Kaza, where you will spend the night.
Visit the highest village in Asia, Komik, which stands at an elevation of 4513 meters and translates to “eye of a snowcock”. Next, drive to Hikkim and visit the world’s highest post office. After sending a postcard, continue on to Langza. Once there, take a stroll through the village, and visit the ancient Lang Temple, estimated to be around 1000 years old. Also visit the Key Monastery. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Drive to one of the most picturesque places in Spiti Valley, the Chandratal Lake. On the way, pass through the high altitude pass of Kunzum La and stop to pay tribute to the local goddess, Kuzum Mata, at the stupa. The Kunzum Pass, which stands at 15,000 feet above sea level, connects Kullu and Lahaul to the Spiti Valley. Enjoy a comfortable camping experience in the Himalayas, and spend the evening admiring the Milky Way and millions of stars on a clear night. Overnight at a camp by Chandratal Lake.
On this day, you will depart from the Spiti Valley and begin the journey towards Manali. Along the way, you will pass through the newly built Atal Tunnel and reach the city of Manali. After checking into the hotel, take some time to rest. In the evening, you have the option to explore the city of Manali before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, take in the stunning views of the Himalayas from your hotel in Manali. Afterwards, proceed to Shimla. The Spiti circuit tour ends in the evening upon arrival in Shimla.
